Good news for Paul's Dutch fans! Kim has written to say that Men With Brooms will be shown on the Yorin channel this Friday at 8:30 pm.

As Season 2 of Slings and Arrows approaches, Sharon writes that there is a sneak preview on the Movie Network on Demand, along with interviews with the cast, including Paul.

3rd June
The Slings and Arrows/Stratford Festival package eBay auction was closed early because of an error in the listing. It reached $137.50 US before it was withdrawn, but it still hadn't met its reserve at that point. It's been relisted at until 12th June. Good luck if you're bidding and thanks to Lee for letting us know.

Julie and Carole have sent in details of a fantastic item up for auction on eBay - a pass to see shooting of Slings & Arrows and a backstage tour at the Stratford Festival. The auction closes on 5th June.

Great news for fans in the UK! H2O is to be shown on Hallmark TV at 10 pm on Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th May. Hallmark is channel 190 on Sky Digital, NTL Home and Telewest. View the trailer. Thanks to Jill for the heads up.

Sharon reports that Paul Gross is on Etalk Daily tonight (7 pm in Ontario) talking about Slings and Arrows2. (Thank you!)

Slings & Arrows 2 premieres on Monday 27th June at 9 pm PT/10 pm MT/ET, on TMN and Movie Central. Thanks Maria and Maggie!

27th April
Paul is to co-host a concert for Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip at the Commonwealth Stadium in Edmonton, Alberta on 23rd May. There are were 50,000 free tickets available but the event is now sold out except to wheelchair users. Thanks to Wendy for this news and to Vic for the update on the ticket situation. Slings & Arrows, the second series: City TV's Movie Television is on set in Toronto, Saturday (today!) at 7 pm. Thanks for Maria for the heads up.

In an interview in yesterday's Toronto Star, Martha Burns speculated that the third series of Slings & Arrows might be centered around King Lear. (Thanks Felicity)

Lee reports that the release date of H2O on DVD has been changed to 24th May by Thanks Lee!

Great news for the US - The Sundance Channel has acquired the rights to Slings & Arrows. Our thanks to Mary again! And Janet adds: "Sundance has bought 18 episodes, including two, six-episode seasons already in the can and the rights to an upcoming third season. The series will debut on Sundance in August 2005."

19th April
Paul and John have won the 2005 "MOW and Miniseries" Canadian Screenwriting Award for H2O. Congratulations to both! Thanks to Mary for letting us know.

11th April
Carole writes that Wilby Wonderful is one of about 200 films featuring at the Commonwealth Film Festival in Manchester (UK) next month. It will be shown on Saturday 7th May 2005 at 6.15pm at AMC 16 Cinemas.

Bravo (Canada) is going to be airing Chasing Rainbows again, starting on Friday 15th April at 12 pm ET. Thanks to Erin for the news!

9th April
Good news, especially for those of us who live outside Canada and haven't seen H2O yet - it will very shortly be released on Region 1 DVD. It can be pre-ordered from for $17.49 CDN with delivery expected around 26th April.

There will be an encore presentation of the mini-series H2O starting on Sunday 10th April at 8 pm on CBC. Thanks to Chantal for letting us know.

23rd March
The IMDB is listing Paul Gross in a new project entitled The Tommy Douglas Story. Paul is to play John Diefenbaker in the Canadian mini series about political icon Tommy Douglas. In a recent National Post article (no longer available on line), Paul is quoted as saying: "He's younger and I'm sort of vaguely sounding like him. We discussed at one point going with something that had real jowly stuff but in the end John [director John N. Smith] was wise to try and keep it more to do with the spirit of the man than the likeness." Thank goodness for that, we say! And thanks to Angela and Mary for the news.

18th March
Wilby Wonderful is in the American news. The film is now available for pre-order on DVD from and it will be screened at the Cleveland International Film Festival tonight and tomorrow (thanks Wendy). There is a movie review in today's Boston Globe (thanks Penny) which mentions a weekend run at the Brattle Theatre.

Paul received the 2005 ACTRA Toronto Award of Excellence on Friday 18th February and we have pictures here, here and here!

As part of the celebrations to mark 100 years of Maclean's, Paul Gross and Atom Egoyan will take part in a discussion entitled "The Director's Chair" with film critic Brian D Johnson in Vancouver on 14th March. Tickets are $37.50 plus service charges for adults and $26.75 plus service charges for students and seniors. Thank you to Mary for this news. [More]

For those who wanted to see the My City, My Life photographic exhibition in Toronto but couldn't get there, there's splendid news from Wendy. All the photos, including those taken by Paul, will be posted at after the exhibit is dismounted (after 10th February).
